Crixet, ChatGPT ads, and whether OpenAI is down

Crixet was a cloud LaTeX editor. OpenAI acquired it and turned the product into Prism, a free science workspace at prism.openai.com.

Prism is OpenAI’s AI workspace for scientific writing, built on the Crixet editor. It uses a ChatGPT account at prism.openai.com.

CGAT is not a product. openai.com/chat is the short path into ChatGPT. The assistant itself opens at chatgpt.com.

Dale chat is a misspelling of DALL·E. Image generation in ChatGPT now runs through ChatGPT Images, including the 2.0 release.

SchoolAI is a classroom AI product for teachers, separate from ChatGPT. The logo is on schoolai.com, not a file this site hosts.

When ChatGPT will not load, check status.openai.com first, then the account, the app version, and the usage cap. This site cannot reset a session.

An OpenAI account is two logins: chatgpt.com for the assistant, and platform.openai.com for API keys. This site cannot sign you in.

ChatGPT Pulse is a proactive briefing from your chats and connected context. It is not a push for every message, and it is not ChatGPT Wrapped.

ChatGPT Wrapped is OpenAI’s year-in-review recap. It shows up when they run the campaign. It is not a monthly report and not Spotify.

ChatGPT has no Adult mode switch. Reduce sensitive content, under Settings and Safety, adds limits. Teens have it on by default.

Codex on iPhone is the Remote view in the ChatGPT app. It drives a Mac or Windows machine that is already signed in. The files stay on that computer.

Codex automatic review swaps the human approval at the sandbox boundary for a reviewer agent. It does not widen what the sandbox allows.

Symphony is OpenAI’s open-source orchestrator for Codex, tied to Linear. It runs tasks and can expose a local status dashboard.

Agent Builder is the visual canvas in the OpenAI API docs for composing agents, tools, and handoffs. It is not the ChatGPT Agent button.

ChatGPT Agent works a task inside ChatGPT: it can browse and use tools, then come back with a result. It is not Agent Builder and not a Sponsored Agent.

Create an OpenAI API key at platform.openai.com. Usage is billed apart from ChatGPT Plus. new-api is a separate open-source gateway, not the official API.

Estimate an OpenAI token count at about four English characters per token, then confirm on platform.openai.com/tokenizer before you budget a prompt.

GPT Realtime is OpenAI’s low-latency speech model on the API. It is billed as API usage, not as a ChatGPT Plus add-on.

An OpenAI chatbot is a chat completion loop plus your instructions. Start on the API, keep the key on a server, and add tools only when a reply is not enough.

Use ChatGPT to learn Python by pasting the error and the few lines around it. Run the result locally. Do not paste secrets into the prompt.

A comment in a coding prompt is a note the model still reads. In Python, # lines are for you and for the model, not a hidden channel.

Creaticode is a Scratch plugin that connects block coding to ChatGPT. It is a community project, not a model inside ChatGPT.

OpenAI’s workspace-agents lesson is the Academy track for using agents at work. A workplace agent runs in a ChatGPT workspace, under an admin’s rules.

OpenAI Frontier is the enterprise platform for running agents across a company. It is not a ChatGPT Plus feature and not a model name.
