IndexChatGPT Pulse
ChatGPT Pulse
ChatGPT Pulse is the proactive brief OpenAI added so ChatGPT can surface updates without you opening a blank box. It is not an alert for every token, and it is not the year-end recap.
Updated 2026-09-27
The announcement is Introducing ChatGPT Pulse. Pulse draws on chats and connections you have already allowed. If you do not see it, the rollout has not reached that account or that platform yet. Forcing a refresh will not invent the card.
The seasonal recap people confuse with Pulse is ChatGPT Wrapped. A research report you request once is deep research.
Questions
How do I turn Pulse on?
It appears in ChatGPT when your account is in the rollout. The announcement page is the description of the feature. There is no Pulse switch on this site.

- ChatGPT Wrapped
ChatGPT Wrapped is OpenAI’s year-in-review recap. It shows up when they run the campaign. It is not a monthly report and not Spotify.
- Deep research
Deep research is ChatGPT’s multi-step web report. Deepsearch is the same query. It cites pages, and you still have to open them.
- ChatGPT Agent
ChatGPT Agent works a task inside ChatGPT: it can browse and use tools, then come back with a result. It is not Agent Builder and not a Sponsored Agent.
