OpenAI account
An OpenAI account is the email you use on chatgpt.com. The API is a second surface, platform.openai.com, with its own keys and its own bill.

Sign in at chatgpt.com for chat, images, Codex inside ChatGPT, and Plus. Sign in at platform.openai.com for API keys and metered spend. The same email can exist on both. Paying one does not pay the other.
Which login matches the task
- Chat, Plus, cancel a consumer plan: chatgpt.com → Settings → Billing
- API key, project spend: platform.openai.com → API keys and billing overview
- Prism papers: prism.openai.com, still the ChatGPT account
- A company workspace: the email your admin invited, which may not be your personal Gmail
We never ask for that password. A page that does, including any form on a lookalike domain, is not OpenAI. If you cannot get in, start with why ChatGPT is not working, then support.
Questions
I have Plus but the API says I have no credit.
Plus is the ChatGPT subscription. API usage is billed on the platform. Add a payment method under organization billing.
Where do I delete the account?
In ChatGPT settings, on the account that owns the data. A workspace admin may have to remove you from the workspace first.
