ChatGPT customer service
OpenAI takes support tickets inside the help center while you are signed in to the affected account. There is no public phone line on the help article, and this site cannot open a ticket for you.

Go to How can I contact support? and use the contact path on that page. Stay on the ChatGPT account that received the invoice. A different email, even one you own, looks like a stranger to billing.
What support can and cannot see
- Billing, refunds, and “I was charged twice” belong on the purchase path: chatgpt.com, Apple, or Google Play
- Outages are posted on status.openai.com before a ticket will change anything
- API spend is the platform billing overview, not the Plus receipt
- A workplace admin, not OpenAI support, turns workspace features on and off
Using ChatGPT as the agent that answers your own customers is a different job. That guide is ChatGPT for customer service.
Email to this site is for corrections to these notes. Do not send a password, a card number, or an API key.
Questions
Is there a ChatGPT phone number?
The published path is the help center article above, signed in. Do not trust a phone number from a search ad.
I need a refund for Plus.
Cancel stops the next renewal. It does not refund the last charge by itself. Request the refund through support while signed in, or through Apple or Google if they billed you.

- Why ChatGPT is not working
When ChatGPT will not load, check status.openai.com first, then the account, the app version, and the usage cap. This site cannot reset a session.
- How to cancel a ChatGPT subscription
Cancel ChatGPT Plus or Pro in Settings, Billing, on the store that charged you. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Canceling is not a refund.
- OpenAI billing
OpenAI billing splits in two: ChatGPT plan receipts in the app, and API spend on the platform organization overview.
