OpenAI Residency
The OpenAI Residency is a program for people moving into AI research. The application lives at openai.com/residency. It is not posted as a normal internship and it is not something you join inside ChatGPT.

Read openai.com/residency for who they want and when the cohort runs. If the page says applications are closed, they are closed. Emerging talent is the other early-career door.
A residency is paid work on research problems. Do not send a stipend figure from a secondary blog to a candidate. The program page is the offer.
Questions
How do I apply to the OpenAI Residency?
Through openai.com/residency, while that page is accepting applications.
Is this the same as OpenAI Academy?
